Christy Keeney

We had a visit from irish ceramic sculpture Christy keeney
who showed us how his way of making head pieces.
He placed his slabs into a mould and cut around the edges to fit .

He used a heat gun to dry the slabs saving time.

He scored the edges of the pieces where they were going to be joined together.

When the pieces are dry enough he attempted to lift the sides

he put slip around the edges.

carefully he stuck the two slabs together.

Putting the two slabs together. making sure they're connected properly.

Shape your piece and create it into a head/face.
