material!!

after pulling shapes from the paper shapes we moved on to material.. we cut out our shapes in a light weight, a medium weight and a heavy weight. I used lining for my light weight , jersey for my medium and a felt material for my heavy. out of them i found the one that worked best was my light weight, it created great shapes and looked very interesting. I expected my heavy weight to be the best but it wasnt , i found that the medium weight was hard to gather but it fell beautifully so it gave a great effect.

we had to cut out our shapes in brown paper and using that cut out create shapes on the mannequin..
i found the paper held its shape well and i got some nice shapes from it. i found my first shape was better thatn the second but i still got some interesting shapes from the second shape.

So I started fashion.. and my three words that i'm working with are LIQUID RUNNY WOBBLY... we have to look at shape.
From my words and mind map i ended up looking at seaweed , the shape was very interesting, i got really nice curved and waved shapes.
